I suppose

July 30, 2007 | 3 Comments

…I’d better get dressed. I’m still in my pyjamas and it’s 12 noon. Why? I meant to do half an hour on the new wip and four hours later, I am still here at the keyboard.

Off to get my jeans, a coffee and to do some copywriting and my invoices.

PS if you want to write romance or indeed, any book and are published or yet-to-be-published, read this:

 The Great Kate

July 26, 2007 | 5 Comments

I’ve been given the honour of guest blogging over on Kate Walker’s 50th Book Blog Party. Please come and visit me there - drool over picture of Richard Armitage and win a copy of Wish You Were Here or Decent Exposure.

Kate has written 50 Presents romances for Harlequin Mills & Boon - a fantastic achievement to be celebrated in style.

There are lots of guest bloggers including Katie Fforde, Bernardine Kennedy, Amanda Grange, Julie Cohen and Liz Fielding.

PS Update 27/7/07: Calling any Richard Armitage fans. Apparently Richard is getting rather hot under the collar in his black leather Guy Of Gisborne oufit as there is a heatwave in Budapest where he is filming a new series of Robin Hood.

Still here & Signings

July 23, 2007 | 2 Comments

Yes. Still here!.

I’ve not been posting much recently as I’m totally engrossed in the current WIP and in my work. I did take time out to go to a midnight Harry Potter launch on Friday which was far more fun than I’d expected. I hope to get some pictures of me and Miss B dressed as Hogwarts staff, posing with the Town Crier (which we do still have in the UK.) My excuse is that I was supporting my friend’s bookshop, Waterstones in Stafford, but I just wanted to be there. Several hundred people turned up, many in fancy dress.

On that note, I’m going to be signing copies of the paperback of Wish You Were Here in the Midlands in September. I don’t expect quite as many people but hey, one or two would be nice! Would LOVE to see you there. So far the provisional dates are:

  • James Redshaw, Lichfield - Saturday September 8th from 11am-1pm.(after this, the plan is to go on for lunch in one of Lichfield’s olde worlde tea shops. I live dangerously.)
  • Waterstones, Stafford - Wednesday September 12th at 6pm. Reading/chat and signings.
  • Waterstones, Sutton Coldfield - Saturday September 15th from 11am-1pm (after this the plan is to go to Starbucks then shopping)
PS LBD author, Lorelei Mathias has an awesome new website - go visit her!

      40k…

40,000 words of Just Say Yes and still loving it but still a long way to go.

If you haven’t seen this site yet, Lovereading have a fantastic promo on Little Black Dress. Decent Exposure is one of the featured books and you can download an extract.
My ‘big news’ is still progressing. I will share it as soon as I can.
