Other writers get their babies or cats to draw winners out of hats but we have a rabbit. He’s called Smudge, he’s moulting right now and he’s quite old but he did the job well and chose Sue aka Ms Creativity.
Sue - can you send me your details so I can mail out your book?
Thanks for all the entries. Here is Smudge doing his stuff. (And yes, we are barmy here!)

I don’t have any right now as I’m still writing the first draft of Just Say Yes but if I did, this would be a brilliant comfort:

If you’d like to win a signed copy of Wish You Were Here, just post a message on this blog or email me via the contact form and I’ll put your name in the ‘hat.’ I just phoned to order some author copies and they were already in stock so I might get them by the end of this week. Hurrah!
Update: Someone on my North & South messageboard just posted this for me. Apparently you can already get the book at some Waterstones branches.
This is interesting as i don’t even have my copies yet.
I had a lovely surprise this lunchtime. As I was strolling past Waterstones in Croydon, I thought……I’ll just pop in and preorder WYWH as the paperback should be out in September, but lo and behold, the young lad looked on the screen and said….’there should be 3 copies upstairs now, madam’ (well, he didn’t actually call me madam ) so with that I sprinted up the stairs (well hauled myself up would be more accurate) and there they were in amongst the LBD shelves. Made my day, it did!! Will be back when I’ve read it
23/8 UPDATE:
My books just arrived so if you want to win one, email me HERE or post ASAP - I’ll pick the winner at random and send on Tuesday next week.

We joined Amazon DVD rental recently and last night watched our second movie - Into the Blue - which was ordered by Miss B on account of it being a - action b - set in the Caribbean and c - featuring Paul Walker.
I don’t normally go for blond heroes but I decided to have one in the current book I’m writing and if I say so myself, he’s hot. At first I thought of him as Wentworth Miller-ish, but I’m afraid he’s now firmly fixed in my mind as Paul Walker. He spends most of the time wet, brooding and in board shorts or a wet suit ( the guy in Just Say yes, not Paul…)
Into the Blue is a fun film: not a great one but it has fabulous underwater scenes, sexy characters and a lot of action. Just what I need when my brain is whacked as it is every night these days. I just want entertainment!
