Thai (and Guy) Exposure

November 11, 2007 | 6 Comments

I don’t know if anyone reading this blog speaks Thai but if so, I’d love to know what the blurb on Decent Exposure is. I just spotted it on the Bliss Publishing site. I really hope I get a copy when it’s published - even if I can’t read it. the Thai characters are just so cool!

I found the jacket - it’s just so cute and Emma has long dark hair, just as she does in the book. I will try the blurb in a translator site but don’t know what I’ll get. Babel fish does not do Thai yet.

NEWSFLASH ….Richard Armitage and David Tennant fans - don’t forget to watch Sir Guy and the Timelord on BBC Children in Need on Friday evening. Apparently Sir Guy steals Lady Marian’s Pudsey bear but leaves her virtue intact!

PS Jess has some very romantic news on her blog.

Back from ‘Bannerdale’

I’ve been away to the Lakes for a few days with Mr Bennet. It was, as ever, completely glorious. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my writing over the past couple of months and have finally decided on my next LBD. My agent is very keen on the idea, it’s going to be great fun to research and write but I probably need to tell my ed first… Contrary to appearances, I also agonise almost every day about my writing, wondering if it will ever meet my expectations - and those of the people who read it. I just want my books to be the best they can, in every way.

Or maybe that’s the tension every writer feels and it never goes away?

Here’s me, standing under the Bowder Stone which is a huge boulder deposited in Borrowdale valley by a retreating Ice Age glacier. I hope this image isn’t symbolic of some kind of hubris for me! It definitely sums up how I sometimes feel. :)

PS Don’t you think they could have filmed the BBC Robin Hood series here?
