And how better to celebrate than with this You Tube vid of Gerard Butler auditioning for his role in Dracula!
Oh and btw there will be something equally horrific on BBC2 on Monday at 6pm. I’m leaving the country - and I will NOT be watching it.

Well, I will probably now suffer the fate of Messrs Ross and Brand after my interview on Radio Newcastle this afternoon took an embarrassing turn.
I was asked on to comment on this story about romance being dead.
All was going quite well until I was asked what I thought of a listener’s advice on keeping the magic alive in a marriage.
Oh dear. I mistook her comment ‘ never go to bed in a huff’ for ‘never go to bed in the BUFF’.
As the studio dissolved in laughter, I was cut off. (Which I think was my phone battery not the Director General.)
Just call me Bridget Jones.

Despite the credit crunch and the disappearance down the toilet of most of our endowments, I’m a very happy bunny today. And it has nothing to do with RA being all over the telly this morning. I’ve been doing my copy edits for ISHBM leavened with a dash downstairs to watch him on This Morning.
My happiness has to do with a small but vital piece of encouragement for my current project which was suddenly attacked by the Pterodactyls of Doubt on Friday. These creatures have now been banished to their cave again (until half way through I expect.) There’s still a long road ahead of me but I’m afraid I’m still loving writing this book.
I would like to be the type of author who can offer you insight into my writing process and useful tips but:
a - others do it so much better.
and b - my ‘process’ appears to consist of Making It All Up As I Go Along. I just try to live and breathe the characters in a truly obsessive way. It will probably all go horribly wrong but for now, my maxim is: if in doubt, go with your gut instinct every single time. Nine times out of ten, you’ll be right.
I leave you with a quote from the wonderful Neil Gaiman.
“House burned down. Car stolen. Cat exploded. Did 1500 easy words, so all in all it was a pretty good day.”

I’m supposed to be on BBC Radio Five at around 5.50pm this evening on the Peter Allen show talking about holiday romances…

I just couldn’t wait until tomorrow to post this. It’s the cover of It Should Have Been Me - my March 2009 release for Little Black Dress. It’s my absolute favourite so far. I love the vibrant colours and check out that camper van!

There’s a new blurb too.
When Carrie’s fiancé Huw suddenly calls off their wedding, and she finds out he’s marrying another woman, she’s devastated. Desperate to get away, Carrie jumps at her best friend Rowena’s suggestion of a road trip in her VW camper van. But when Rowena has to pull out and Matt Landor, an old friend of Huw’s, ends up filling the breach, she’s not so sure. Will fate take the pair on an altogether different journey?
