Oh yes, I *always* rewrite. My first book, Decent Exposure had several versions and an NWS critique. My second had some stiff revisions and both the last two have been rewritten by me and had some edits. That's an editor's job - we couldn't do without them. You need that objective distance. I get SO mad when people say 'oh, you do churn them out!' after all the work. Bear in mind too, that most published books have had critique partners, agents, editors, copy eds and proof readers all look at them before they make it to Amazon. :) Elle.
