On location – part 2

August 2, 2009

So where was I? Oh yes, still in Cloud Film Land. After queueing up at the catering van,we sat down with our plates of food next to another four of the 12 men and got talking about how they had auditioned and been cast. They didn’t seem too alarmed that ms B and I had been cyber stalking them, gallantly pointing out that it was natural curiosity to want to know who was in the movie. Ahem.

I couldn’t eat a thing, even with all that AAA Alberta beef on my plate. I think we sat next to Frank, Aaron, Jessie and the French Canadian with the large brolly. Apparently, I’d gone very quiet…

After lunch, we all decamped from the woods to a nearby bar in Bragg Creek – the fabulous Powderhorn – which had been transformed from a Canadian saloon to a Montana bar.

The best moment was when Kristin (Emma/EJ) arrived on set in her four-inch heeled Prada boots! The glamour factor shot up. :) After shooting a scene with Josh (Will) she chatted to us for about half an hour during a break in filming. She is absolutely lovely – warm, friendly and very funny. She was also full of admiration for the work of the LAMRT, the Lake District Mountain Rescue Team who helped me with some research for Decent Exposure. She signed an LAMRT T-shirt and a copy of DE which we’re going to auction as part of a fund raising event later this year.

By this time it was seven pm so we decided to leave for our hotel in Banff. On the way out, we had a quick word with the lovely Josh H – and gave him an LAMRT mug and a copy of DE – before Mr B took a picture of us. Josh insisted on holding his mug in the photo.

Finally, five of the 12 men posed for a photo (and offered, jokingly to take off their tops.)

Left to right: Aaron, Josh, Frank, some crazy stalker woman, ‘Eric’ and Paul.

And then, damp but happy, we headed off to start our holiday in the amazing Canadian Rockies – of which more later.

I will shut up on the blog for a while as I’ve got a mini deadline for something that may or may not come to fruition one day. And I’ve got work too. :)
