National Poetry Day

October 9, 2009

Yes, I know National Poetry Day was yesterday but indulge me. I know you will, when I share this – my favourite poem, performed in a way that is unforgettable. We all need a little escapism in our lives and this is it!

Luscious library event with Nell

October 1, 2009

Oh blimey. Is it October already? That means, I need to start thinking seriously about the library event I’m doing on Monday at Heath Hayes Library near Cannock.

I haven’t done a library event for a few months so I ‘m really looking forward to this one. Firstly because I’m taking part with Nell Dixon, friend and fellow Little Black Dress author. I love doing joint events with Nell because she’s very funny and gives great, practical advice. Secondly, we were asked to do the event as part of Family Learning Month by Jo, a very enthusiastic young librarian and LBD fan. :)

We’ll be chatting about our books, about writing and how to submit your work to agents and publishers – and I’ll be talking about the making of the movie of Decent Exposure in Canada. You try and stop me!

It all takes place from 2.30-4.30pm at Heath Hayes library on Monday October 5th. Please come along and say hello…
