Hi there and welcome to my website

Hi there and welcome…

My name’s Phillipa Ashley and I write contemporary romantic fiction for Headline Little Black Dress. I love writing exciting, fun and sexy stories set in the UK and further afield.

I’ve been very lucky on my publishing journey so far. My first novel, Decent Exposure won the Romantic Novelists Association Joan Hessayon New Writers Award and the TV/movie rights have been optioned by Fox .

My latest book for Little Black Dress,Wish You Were Here, is available now and the next one, Just Say Yes, is published in August 2008.

When I’m not writing novels I work as a freelance journalist and copywriter so I’m always writing. Or talking. Or both.

There’s nothing I enjoy more than hearing from readers, so please drop me a line any time.

Shortlisted for the North West Libraries Pure Passion ‘Favourite Reads’ 2007

“A gripping read. The plot ducks and dives through agony and ecstasy.”
- - Birmingham Post

“This lovely, warm story is Phillipa Ashley’s debut novel. Emma is a likeable heroine and Ashley’s writing is deft, sexy and full of humour. Decent Exposure is a light romantic read for a rainy afternoon, with fabulous descriptions of life in a tight-knit Lake District community and a very sexy male lead.”
