Bookstores vs Online retailers

I’m over at the BookHounds blog today, where Mary asked me this question:

When I went to London, I fell in love with the bookstores there. With globalization, do you feel that the bookstores are losing their niche?

And isn’t this a sign of the times? You may have noticed the e-book promotions going on this week… well, I want to thank everyone who has bought and/or downloaded a copy of Wish You Were Here and/or Dating Mr December from online retailers in the US and Canada. Last night when I went to bed (and tried to sleep) both books were in the Top 20 of the Amazon KindleRomance Chart – WYWH was in the paid for at 20 and Dating Mr December was number 1 on the free romance list and number 2 on the overall free book chart.
