Hitting the wall

July 26, 2011

If you are a regular reader of this blog, It won’t have escaped your notice that I’ve been pretty busy over the past six months, burning the candle at both ends. I’ve launched Fever Cure and Wish You Were Here and finished a new wip, codenamed Miranda.

In the middle of last week, I hit a wall. I think I had a bug or was just knackered, but I got a headache lasting four days, had no energy and ended up asleep in the middle of the afternoon on three days. This morning, I felt back to normal and went to a spinning (cycling) class. I lasted 10 mins before feeling a bit faint so now I’m back home again.

I think I need to take a little more time away to recharge my batteries.

One thing I could do while I wasn’t feeling good, was listen to Test Match Special Cricket on the radio – England vs India. England won, thanks partly to the bowling of one Jimmy Anderson. That definitely cheered me up!
