News…

January 16, 2007

My daughter is feeling much better and raring to get back to college but that depends on Dr’s orders.

I have been asked to give a talk and reading by the readers’ group at Kings Norton Library, in Birmingham. The theme is a ‘girly night in’ with hot chocolate and other goodies. Sounds like fun. It will be one Thursday in March so I will post details here when I have them. This is only my second ever event like this and I’m a bit nervous but also very pleased to be asked.

I just managed to get two of the LBD box sets containing Decent Exposure as some hardworking ladies at Asda Minworth were re-stocking the shelves with them. I just had to to tell them ‘that’s my book’. Hurrah! for Asda staff, for a – not laughing at me and b – being friendly and calling me a ‘real-life author’. The cheque’s in the post, girls. 😉
