Anniversary, agents and screen writing
April 3, 2009
Happy weekend, everyone.
The sun is shining here, the birds are signing and a cute little field vole just skittered across the patio. I hope the three stonking great cats who have suddenly started invading our garden, don’t get him…
Seriously, I’m in a happy mood and it has nothing to do with novels this time. It’s our 22nd wedding anniversary tomorrow and we’re having a romantic night out with … our daughter. (We’re making the most of her before she moves away to her new uni in October.) We’re off to see The Boat That Rocked and then I’ve booked dinner in a nice local pub.
I am ahuge fan of Richard Curtis’s writing – how I’d love to write a novel as good as his films. On that note, take a look at this brilliant post about getting into television screenwriting from Dr Who and Spooks Series 7 script writer, James Moran.
Nicola Morgan also has an excellent post about Agents on her blog.
On the commercial writing front, I’m *hoping* to have news of a new copy project very soon. Fingers crossed this time. Anything else that comes along will be a bonus. 😉
