Romance Junkies – where do you go to escape?

November 30, 2010

Today, I’m blogging at Romance Junkies who asked me:

Your heroine goes to the country for a fresh start. Where do you go or what do you do when you want a break?

I’m really pleased to be on Romance Junkies, especially as they gave Dating Mr December a 4.5 star review!

As for my idea of a break, it’s not a writers’ holiday, I’m afraid. Don’t get me wrong. I love writing events, talks and RNA parties. I also enjoy reading writers’ blogs – sometimes obsessively – but I’m not one for a writing weekend or longer ‘holiday’. I can understand that if you don’t get time to write because of family or full time work commitments then a writers’ holiday would be a wonderful luxury.

But I write all day and have done for 20 plus years, either on commercial projects or novels and other related activities and that often carries on from 7am-midnight at the moment.

So my idea of a break is anything that takes me as far away from the keyboard as possible, as you can see here.

But please pop over and tell me what you do to escape…
