Back from the Lakes to a massive Kindle giveaway including Dating Mr December
March 20, 2011
I’ve just got back from a weekend in the Lakes in which I didn’t use the computer from Friday lunchtime until Sunday night – because I’ve got the warning signs of RSI in my wrists and also brain meltdown due to to so much going on bookwise and workwise – and too much time on the PC!
We climbed a fell (Lakeland hill) called Catbells on Saturday – it has stunning views over Derwentwater from the summit. The name comes from an old word meaning ‘ the home of the wildcats’ – how romantic is that? Sadly, there have been no wildcats here since the 18th century.
This morning, we bought lots of equipment for our forthcoming camping trip to North Devon and – the horror – I was persuaded to buy a pair of waterproof trousers by a member of the Langdale & Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team who works in Blacks. He was disgusted that I fell walked without a pair and sternly gave me a lecture – and yes, he did know I was the woman who had written a romance about a Lakeland team.
Anyway, I got back to find there is currrently a massive Kindle US promotion on some Sourcebooks titles – some are free and some are 99 cents – including Dating Mr December, Jill Mansell, Wendy Holden and many more.
Get them while you can!
