Valentine’s Competition
February 1, 2008
There is, allegedly, a popular belief that birds choose their mates on Valentine’s Day. Which means that right now, they must be buying sexy underwear, booking a restaurant and queueing outside Thornton’s (that’s a chocolate shop not a cotton mill.)
Seriously, what better excuse could there be to run a Valentine’s competition? The prizes are either a signed copy of Decent Exposure or Wish You Were Here plus another LBD of your choice from my collection. I’ve got quite a few and if you’ve got all of those, I can rustle up another chick lit or romance novel.
If I get lots of entries (or even a few) I will throw in some cute Thorntons chocs. 🙂 Closing date is before Feb 14th.
To enter, just email me via the site or post a message.
PS If you speak Thai or are just feeling exotic, you can have a Thai edition of Decent Exposure.
Debs Says:
Lovely picture. Great idea for a competition too. I can’t believe it’s already February though.
Ray-Anne Says:
Please choose me, please miss, please.
Cold. Gloomy. Need romance. And choc. LOL.
Phillipa Says:
Thanks for the support girls. You’re first in the hat. 🙂
Julie Cohen Says:
Oh dear. I’d like to enter, as ashamedly don’t yet have WYWH, and would love a signed copy.
Jessica Raymond Says:
Mmm, I can never have enough LBD. And I love the image of a bunch of starlings having a shave and putting on a tie ready for their ladies 🙂
PS. Tell me I haven’t made a huge error and that you only ever get female starlings or something…
Maddie Moon Says:
Ooooh, chocolates and books. Life doesn’t get a lot better than that, does it?
Julie Says:
Hi Phillipa,
I’d love to be entered in the contest!
Julie
Phillipa Says:

Steve Says:
Hi
I am taken by novel ‘wish you were here’although I have not read it.
I ve just re-met with my greatest love of 20 odd yrs ago..who worked as a travel rep abroad. we were not in touch for over 20yrs but through a family death became re-united. Though both now married the spark is still there. Sounds like the plot of a great novel but very true….wonder how it will end. Perhaps someone should write our tale ???
Phillipa Says:
Steve – sounds like poignant and romantic tale.
Why don’t you enter the competition? Email me with your details and I’ll add you to the list. If you don’t win, you could always buy a copy of Wish You Were Here. I’m sure you’d enjoy it!
Amanda Coffman Says:
Books and chocolates, I’m pregnant (19 weeks at mo) so this sounds like my idea of heaven. A nice warm bath, reading a book, whilst eating the best chocolates in the world.
Very kind of you 🙂
Good luck to all
Phillipa Says:
Amanda …hope you have a very relaxing Valentine’s Day and I’ll add ‘both of you’ to the list of entries.:)
