Fever Cure party day 2 – with Liz Fielding
July 13, 2011
Thank you for all the comments on my blog yesterday and all the good wishes. It was a truly exciting launch day and the party goes on.
Everyone who leaves a comment on the blog this week or subscribes to my newsletter will have the chance to win a PDF of Fever Cure, or one of my other books. So please say hi! You can also read an extract of the book HERE.
Thank you to Julia who read Fever Cure at the speed of light and kindly posted this comment:
I read FC and loved it! I wanted to read it slowly and savor it. Instead, I raced through it and inhaled it like oxygen because it was so good!
Calling Dr Jones…
Fever Cure features a doctor hero, so I asked romantic writers to nominate their real-life or fictional doctor heroes. Today I’m delighted to welcome Liz Fielding, multi-award winning author of over 50 romances for Harlequin Mills & Boon.
Liz nominates a real life doctor – and with very good reason:
I’d like to nominate Mr Dylan Jones and his team at Carmarthen Hospital. They took care of me when I had acute glaucoma (not like the kind of glaucoma you get with age, but an emergency condition that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy). They were with me day and night, checking pressure, monitoring me, giving me the kind of care that must have cost a mint and finally operating. It was a nightmare – this was my one good eye – and I can never, ever thank them enough.
As Liz doesn’t have a picture of Mr Dylan Jones (as a consultant doctor in the UK, you get promoted to Mister, rather than Doctor!) I had no hesitation in using a pic of Richard Armitage playing Dr Alec Track from Golden Hour.
Liz has a brand new release out this month called Tempted by Trouble. You can read all about it here.
Liz Says:
I have to admit that Mr Armitage has it over Mr Jones when it comes to looks. I’d still rather stick with the original when wielding a knife!
Liz fenwick Says:
Liz sounds terrible but thank goodness for excellent care. Lx
Laura Kay Says:
Sounds like a great new read! Best of luck with the new release!!

Any excuse Liz F #1
Hi there Liz F #2!
Maria D. Says:
Mr. Dylan Jones and his team sound like they went the extra mile for Liz and I can understand her worry and fear with her sight issues (by the way – love Liz’s books!) and I do agree that Richard Armitage is yummy looking!
Charlotte Says:
I know a whole crop of newly minted, rather good-looking junior doctors who have “Trust me, I’m a doctor” badges… but I think I’d rather have Mr Jones!
Sarah Callejo Says:
I’d would become a hypochondriac if I had him as a doctor!
Fedora Says:
LOL, Sarah! Liz, I do enjoy those medical romances and medical heroes and heroines! And I do love the visuals, too–thanks!
