A funny old day…Not!
October 4, 2006
Hi there
What a day! I don’t know whether to laugh or cry but I can’t share it with you or name names. However someone today managed to make me feel about two inches tall – and it was everything to do with old-fashioned bureaucracy and Victorian attitudes.
The day has ended on a real high… I have a copy of the Radio Times with the utterly luscious Richard Armitage on the cover dressed in black leather. he is a lovely guy, if youdidn’t know it already, take it from me – a real gentleman though not, I hear, as Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood! And I was down to only one book remianing at one point on Amazon which was a blast. They now have more and I also hear my fellow LBD author and friend Julie Cohen’s book, Sprit Willing has been going down a storm.
Finally thanks to all the lovely people on my fave website for writing such fab reviews of Decent Exposure. I’d just like to quote a lovely comment from ‘Daffodil’ and also to apologise for those readers whose books have not been delivered yet.
***SPOILERS***Well what can I say but – Author I devoured it!! I read it over the weekend, and just couldn’t put it down on the Sat night in bed, so finished it at 3.30am! The book had an outing at the evening dinner and went round each table to be admired. It was a delicious story and had everything that I love, TDH gorgeous hero, feisty beautiful heroine, angst, cleverly devised repressed feelings….
I’ll be re-reading it soon too.
Wonderful stuff. Do hope you’ll be writing more.

Hooray! Enjoy every minute, Pip!

Home tomorrow! (or rather, today). The relative normality of you launching you book in a wine cellar will do me good!

It’s a wonderful book, Pip. I thoroughly enjoyed it … and boo hiss to bureaucrats and pseudo-Victorians. A plague on both their houses.

May I second Moira’s boo-hiss to the thought-police of you-know-where? It’s their loss! Loved your book talk at Lichfield library, your audience were lapping it up and I know they are all going to love the book. Congrats again on your wonderful book and a wonderful launch weekend. A good time was had by all!
