Exciting news

I’ll blog a little about my first radio experience next week – it was scary but also great fun and I had to defend the honour of romantic fiction! Thanks to Kate at Touch FM for keeping me talking for over 45 mins in between the records and ads. Some throught-provoking questions…
Now, my news. Firstly I am thrilled to say that Decent Exposure has been bought by a Thai publisher. I can’t find a Thai-English translator on the web but am really looking forward to seeing my book printed in those beautiful, intricate characters.
Secondly, an LA producer is interested in the film/TV rights to Decent Exposure. Now, it’s very very early days and I know that nothing may come of it but I’m still ridiculously excited and flattered that he is interested. I’ve been warned not to choose my frock for the premiere just yet but nonetheless, I’ve been given permission by various friends to indulge in some fantasy casting!
Finally, if you didn’t know already, I have been offered a new contract for more Little Black Dress books and I’m really into the current wip, Just Say Yes.
The winter was a really hard slog. My writing didn’t seem to be going as well as I’d hoped but things are now very promising and I’m gaining a litle confidence. Now, I MUST get my head down and write JSY as I have an early autumn deadline. This book is written with a detailed synopsis as I think this works better for me. I have spent several months planning it after the initial light bulb moment.
So – fantasy casting will commence shortly…
Thanks for all the good wishes about my toe! It is still bandaged up and I have 12 days to get into these shoes for the RNA Summer Party and the NWS award bash.

Monica – Good luck with the exams. I will run the contest but might have to be tomorrow as v busy with Real Work. It’s not THAT exciting but I do have my author copies and one will be up for grabs – and a signed copy of More Than Love Letters which is out now from Rosy Thornton.
PS Anyone want to see my toe? No? Don’t blame you? It’s horrible and I so hope I can get those shoes on next week, but it’s looking doubtful right now. 🙁

What exciting news. I’ve been away on holiday, too. Came back to get a stomach bug, but that doesn’t sound as bad as your burn and ripped toenail. Ouch!
And if your book’s made into a movie I’m coming all the way from Oz for the premiere.
