Keep ’em coming!

I’d just like to say thanks to all the people who have been entering the competition – and have been emailing me to say encouraging things about Decent Exposure. You still have until June 14th to enter. 🙂
I got my six author copies last week (woo-hoo!) but they have already gone as competition prizes; to my parents and parents in-law and to Duckface who helped with my research. I have two left – Mr Bennet is reading one.
The weather in the UK is pants right now so yesterday we went shopping. I had a new Per Una bright green handbag and a Laura Ashley beaded shrug for the RNA Summer Party. I needed retail therapy as I had some not-very-nice news about my Achilles tendon problem this week. It’s got pretty serious and I am a big coward. ;(
Shrug above: but mine is in brown.

Hugs on the bad tendon news. Hope the shrug (v. nice!) made you feel a little bit better.

Duckface Says:
Hello
Thank you so much for my copy …its fabulous. I really love the book.
Sorry to hear about your bad tendon news. I know how much you love your running. Hope you had fun shopping. See you soon

Phillipa Says:
Thanks Jess and Julie. Julie – you are one the first people to read the book in the UK. Glad you are enjoying it!
Jess – hope to see you on Wednesday. 🙂
Jessica Raymond Says:
Sorry, Pip, but I won’t be there 🙁 I’m that bit more uncomfortable every day and I’m leery of going too far from home in case anything happens. Such a shame because it would have almost been a nice book-end — I found out I was pregnant only a couple of days after seeing you at your launch party back in October!
Good luck to you for the award. As I said on Anna Lucia’s blog, it would obviously be fab to win it, but if my book doesn’t place then I really want somebody I know from online to win it 🙂 So if not me, I want it to be you, Judy, or Anna.
Have a great time!!

Anna Louise Lucia Says:
Sorry about the tendon, Phillipa – nasty, painful things. 🙁
Good luck for tomorrow! See you there. 😉
Phillipa Says:
Thanks everyone.
Jess – I will miss you but I do understand. I ducked out of a wedding two weeks before my due date.
Anna – looking forward to meeting you and hearing about Cumbria!
