Amazon Exposure
January 11, 2008
A Brazilian reader posted on my N&S messageboard to say she had been reading Decent Exposure in the Amazon jungle. I think that rates as the coolest location to read it! Her message put a smile on my face because I’ve got the blues, the crows (big, black horrible ones that have roosted over my wip for weeks) and some kind of flu-ey shivers. Ms Bennet has returned to uni too.
Don’t just you hate these gloomy, foggy, dark days and nights in the UK? Roll on spring…

Totally cool! And yes, I do hate the grey drizzly days. I have blackout blinds on the window in my office and use daylight bulbs to try and simulate a standard working space, and they seem to help.
Think CAVE. Warm cosy space with your fun things around you.
On the other hand, there is a Greek island beach story which has been niggling at the back of my crispy brain cell for some time – hot winds, star filled nights. Tavernas and laughter.
Could be just the thing!
Hope the plague has not arrived. Take care, Ray-Anne

Ray Anne …I never thought of recreating daylight. Your post has reminded by of one thing. This week, I’ve booked a holiday to Naxos at the end of June. Never been to Greece before so really looking forward to it. I should write that story if I were you.:)
Christina Phillips Says:
Ooh Phillipa, what a lovely holiday to look forward to! I love the Greek islands!
Nell Dixon Says:
I love the Greek Islands, one day I’d like to sail on a small boat around them. Very Cool to have a reader in the Amazon. I have some lovely readers in India and Pakistan.
Julie Cohen Says:
Wish I were in the Amazon reading Decent Exposure rather than in rainy Reading trying to do revisions…
I loved Naxos. It is beautiful and the people are nice. And the fish is to die for.
Phillipa Says:
Julie. We’re off to Naxos for the windsurfing/sailing – or rather Mr and Ms B are. I shall just lie on the beach, read and eat fish. Good luck with your revisions.
