Octavia on telly

I should be working but have to share this. My all time, favourite short romance is being brought to life on ITV.

It’s Octavia by Jilly Cooper.

Tamsin Egerton is Octavia. Richard Coyle is Gareth.

Yes …I can see him as Gareth.

PS The Valentine’s Competition is running until Friday.

   I love Richard Coyle. He was mysterious in Strange, funny in Coupling and romantic in Lorna Doone.

   I have never read any books by Jilly Cooper, but I hope I get to see this series.

   I think Richard Coyle’s going to be great as Gareth! I’m so excited 🙂
   I really like Patrick Baladi, but I can’t imagine him as Jeremy… Oh well, I’m sure he’ll be great in it.
   It’s going to be released some time in 2008, I’m not sure exactly when though 🙁
   Apparently ITV want to do four of Jilly Cooper’s romances in total. Personally, I hope they do Prudence, Bella and Imogen as well as Octavia.

   Katherine – I’d love to see all the JC romances on telly. Yes Richard will be great as Gareth – funny, arrogant and tender at the same time? I imagine Jeremy as wimpier than Patrick Baladi, if you know what I mean. I’d like to see Imogen too. The LBD eds *love* these early romances especially Octavia and Imogen – they keep telling me to think about the characters in them when I’m writing. I wish! 🙂
