That Sunday Feeling
March 9, 2008
1. The Feeling were awesome. At the end they walked through the auidence, playing drums. There’s some You Tube footage of the gig here. No. I didn’t film it. 🙂
2. Stratford was beautiful in the sun – we had a tour of the RSC Courtyard Theatre. I am so dense. As the tour guide began to gave us insight into what it was like to be a Shakespearean actor, I suddenly thought: oh er, my current wip opens with an actress playing Juliet. I had never connected the visit and book. Doh…
Here’s a picture from ‘a friend’.
3. The postman smiled ‘wryly’ at me on Saturday as he pulled seven more books from his bulging mailbag.
4. My book has taken an unexpected twist as a minor character has revealed something about herself that has surprised me, not to mention the heroine.
Sally Lawton Says:
Pleased to hear you had a lovely time in Stratford, I’d love to go. Hope it filled you with inspiration. Sent you an email the other day, just drop me a line if you need to know anything! But it sounds like it’s coming along 🙂
Debs Says:
Sounds like you had a fabulous time. I would love to visit Stratford too. You made me laugh when you said that you’d never connected the visit and your wip! That’s the sort of thing I would do too.
Debs Says:
Ooh I meant to say that I went into my local WHSmith today and there was an entire display of LBD books – buy one get one free – and I saw Decent Exposure and put it to the front.
Phillipa Says:
Sally – I’ve emailed you too. 🙂
Debs – I got onto the stage before it dawned on me. Ahem. I was able to check the ending of the play with the tour guide which was a help. And yay! for book turning. We need more of it…
