My new cover!

I just couldn’t wait until tomorrow to post this. It’s the cover of It Should Have Been Me – my March 2009 release for Little Black Dress. It’s my absolute favourite so far. I love the vibrant colours and check out that camper van!

There’s a new blurb too.

When Carrie’s fiancé Huw suddenly calls off their wedding, and she finds out he’s marrying another woman, she’s devastated. Desperate to get away, Carrie jumps at her best friend Rowena’s suggestion of a road trip in her VW camper van. But when Rowena has to pull out and Matt Landor, an old friend of Huw’s, ends up filling the breach, she’s not so sure. Will fate take the pair on an altogether different journey?

   Sad to say that whenever I see that title, I think of the Vicar of Dibley sketch featuring a certain RA..oh, there could not POSSIBLY be a connection, could there? snarf..

   Hello all. Thank you for the thumbs up. Right. I knew this would happen. I started the book last year after hearing the old Yvonne Fair version on radio 2 – I *honestly* didn’t think of V oD. It was only this year when searching for the song on You Tube that I realised!

   It was subliminal – that’s all but now, no one will believe me esp as the hero is defo based on Mr A. 🙂

   It’s a beauty Pip. Lurve those colours! You should be rightly proud. jx The design would look lovely done up as a duvet cover (I’m not joking, it really would! And my dd would want to snaffle it – that partic shade of pink ticks her boxes!)

   If I ever get proper pubbed I’ll get my covers done as duvets! Imagine! A bit like George Michael singing along to his own songs in the car before a concert! jx

    Jude – yes, that pink is ever-so-slightly Barbie in an ironic LBD type way, of course. I never thought of getting the covers made into duvets bit of a marketing opportunity there but what on earth would Mr B make of a half naked Will on his bed? 🙂

    loving the cover! its so delicious!

    what about wallpaper? obviously it would be overkill to have it with a duvet cover as well but maybe just on a ‘feature wall’…?!! (man, i love that phrase)

    i can see a whole range of spin-off merchandise….lampshades, coasters…the sky’s the limit! haha!

    can i really wait until march though? i fear i may pop with excitement by then…!

    either way its guaranteed to be a corker – can’t wait X
