Five hearts for Fever Cure
June 24, 2011
I knew that the time would come when I’d start to get a split personality – that is when my June and July Book Releases overlapped!
I got an email from my Samhain ed this morning to say that Fever Cure has got a Five Heart Review from the Romance Studio. This is one of my first reviews for a ‘baby’ that’s completely new to the world, so it’s always a bit daunting as well as exciting to see what people think.
This is the book that my Coffee Crew writer friends, Nell Dixon and Elizabeth Hanbury, encouraged me to finish and send out, so thank you, dear friends! The cakes are on me in a few weeks time. 🙂 The reviewer said:
Having been the first book I’ve read by this author, I have to say Ms. Ashley has done a superb job of crafting this novel. She has penned two amazing characters that have both been through terrible times in the past, one of which is still trying to find redemption by distancing themselves from others so they don’t find themselves in a relationship… The sex scenes were scorching, even though they’re being together was only supposed to be a fling and love wasn’t in the cards, still it happened and was illustrated brilliantly through this author’s words.
It has gone up with the other five star reviews this week for the Sweetheart Award so if you’d like to vote, please click here.
Rachel Lyndhurst Says:
Scorching sex scenes?! That’s good enough for me!
It’s not long now until it’s out is it, Phillipa? I’m not sure i can stand the waiting much longer!!

Phillipa Says:
Thank you Rachel – It’s really just a simple love story but I remember how I felt when I wrote it and hope all of that intense and feverish atmosphere has found its way onto the pages….
Nell Dixon Says:
It’s a fabulous book, sexy, funny and romantic – a cracking read and deserves every one of those stars.
